National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is the most well known competitive examination organized by National Testing Agency for the student who wishes to pursue undergraduate medical, dental and AYUSH in INDIA. NEET is started in 2013 and is the common entrance test for stepping into medical colleges.
EXAM PATTERN
• Latest pattern of the NEET exam is that NTA will conduct the exam and the entrance test is pen paper
• The duration of the examination is 3 hours
• Number of questions asked in exams is 200, but candidates have to answer 180 questions.
• The questions asked in the exam are multiple-choice questions
• Language/medium: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu, Oriya, Kannada, Tamil and Urdu
• Marking scheme
4 marks are given for every correct answer
1 mark will be deducted for each wrong attempt.
• Subjects asked in the exam are PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, ZOOLOGY, BOTANY. Each subject have 2 sections; section A and section B
• In section A 35 questions have to attempt whereas in section B 15 question is to be attempted
SYLLABUS
The syllabus of NEET is very vast. It contains both the 11th and 12th syllabus of physics, chemistry, zoology and botany.
TIPS TO CLEAR NEET EXAM
• STUDY BY PLANNING:
Make a road map for starting the preparation of NEET. By planning, students can make a pre-planning strategy for the preparation. Make a plan that is weekly and monthly. make a goal for each week that you should complete your goal topics in that much time. Make a plan like that you are able to complete your syllabus one month before the exam. and in that one month, you can do a revision of your syllabus.
• MAKE TIME TABLE :
Make a timetable that is convenient for your study, follow it consistently. As the syllabus of NEET is almost similar to the 11th and 12th syllabus, this will be a plus point for making the timetable. In the timetable make it clear that you are able to cover each subject’s topic in a day time table. Make a day in a week where you test how much you have gained from learning.
• CLEARING DOUBTS :
Many students skip the topics because they are not able to understand them. This makes a great decrease in your performance and learning. Clear your doubts with your teachers or mentors will have you boosting your knowledge related to topics. Clearing the doubts make the concepts crystal clear.
• EVALUATE YOUR STUDY :
Evaluation of your learning process is most helpful in finding your weak point. Evaluate yourself by solving the sample papers and analyze how many questions you are able to solve in a limited time. After the evaluation, work more on your weak points and make them to a level by practising.

• SOLVING SAMPLE PAPERS:
Sample papers have the collection of competitive patterns of exams. By solving the sample papers students get the evolution of their progress. Sample papers give a good idea about what is being asked in the exam and what is the trend of questions being followed, the sample papers have the same level of questions.
